This way you can leave your outside door open on summer days without being surrounded by flies inside! The strands in taupe are slightly twisted around a transparent core that still lets in lots of light. In addition, pets such as dogs and cats also walk effortlessly through the strands. 

The Lucca door curtain is made of solid, twisted strands about 6 mm thick. The extra-thick strands give weight to the curtain, keeping it hanging down well. In addition, all the strands have been baked in the oven, so they will not curl upward due to the heat of the sun (which can be the case with cheaper variants). 

Important to know: after you take your door curtain out of the packaging, it needs to hang out for a while before the strands are perfectly straight. The hanging process of PVC curtains mainly requires heat. So in the summer, this process goes much faster than in a colder period.

Tip: Want to make this process go faster? Hang the curtain, divide the strands into two bundles and heat the strands (bottom 1.5 meters) with a hair dryer or hot air gun for about 10 minutes (don't keep your device too close or in the same place for too long, as the PVC may melt).

How do I mount the Lucca curtain?

The Lucca door screen from La Tenda features a solid top profile in aluminum. It comes with screws and an aluminum h-profile for easy mounting. In this h-profile there are 4 holes for the screws, so you can attach it without much effort to the top of your doorway. Then you simply click the top profile into the groove of this h-profile. Is the summer season over? Then you can remove the fly curtain from the profile to store it!

There are different sizes of this model available, but if necessary you can adjust the width by sawing off a piece of the aluminum profile. The length of the strands can be shortened by simply cutting them to size.
